At Absolute Dental Care we don’t just “check” your teeth, we take the time to thoroughly examine your teeth, oral hygiene, and overall health. How do we do this? By giving you the gold standard in dentistry, a Comprehensive Oral Health Assessment and Oral Disinfection. At your appointment, your dentist will do a thorough examination of your teeth, gums, and mouth, including an assessment of your jaw and bite alignment, as well as assess any cosmetic concerns you may have, such as tooth discoloration or misalignment. We will take two x-rays to check in between the teeth, use an intra oral camera to take digital photographs as well as do an oral cancer screening. This complete assessment allows us to identify any potential dental problems, such as cavities, gum disease and oral cancer.

The Larkin Protocol Bacteria Sampling. Your dentist will take a sample of the plaque that sits under the gumline and put it under a microscope. You will see firsthand the bacteria that live and breed inside your mouth. By understanding what bacteria you have in your mouth, we can assess your risk of systemic diseases such as heart disease, stroke, Diabetes, Alzheimer’s Disease, bowel cancer, pregnancy complications, and arthritis. This treatment uses Guided Biofilm Therapy with the EMS Airflow, a system that uses air, powder and warm water to disinfect your teeth and gums for a thorough clean. Unlike the old scale and clean process, this is more comfortable for patients, it allows us to remove the bacteria more effectively and efficiently by getting into those hard-to-get areas to eliminate this bacteria and staining, resulting in a superior clean.
