Recently, at Absolute Dental Care, we went through a thorough (and we mean, thorough) accreditation process. We have been assessed against the rigorous National Safety and Quality Health Service (NSQHS) Standards, and we passed with flying colours! Here’s what it means for you …

Why do this?

Sometimes in business, you don’t really know where you stand compared to others in the field. As a result of the accreditation, we learnt where we were doing well, and we improved a few aspects of the practice in the process. We know we always need to be doing better.

What it means for you?

Dr Paul Rollason BDSc (Hons) - DEN0001389408

Principal Dentist

Born and raised in Brisbane, Dr Paul Rollason knew he wanted to be a dentist in grade six when he met and grew to admire his orthodontist. The idea of working with families and being hands-on with patients appealed to both his personal connection with people and his interest in dental science.

Paul has never been one to turn away from a challenge. He set about finding ways to get to what he wanted. He enjoys using his hands to help people by getting them out of pain and putting a smile on their faces in everything he does.

Dr Paul graduated with his Bachelor of Dental Science (Hons) from the University of Queensland in 1993. He has been in private practice since graduation and has maintained a modest general dental practice (Absolute Dental Care) at Taringa in Brisbane since 1996.

He enjoys all aspects of general dental practice and has incorporated lasers into his practice. Paul loves to help people restore their smiles giving them back the confidence and smile they deserve. What Paul really enjoys is crowns, implants, Clear Aligners and cosmetic dentistry to help patients achieve their ideal smile and keep their teeth for life.

Dr Rollason was an early adopter of Practice Accreditation and his practice became accredited in 2013 and was one of the first 50 to do so in Australia. He has also been involved with accreditation with other organisations outside of dentistry.

Paul started in the practice as an associate in 1996 and managed the practice for 10 years before purchasing it off the owner in 2006 and has grown the practice to where it is today.

Paul obtained the Baden Powell Award in Scouting in 1998 – the highest award in the Rover Section.

When he is away from the dental surgery, you will often find Paul enjoying many fun and enriching activities.

Dr Ashleigh Jit Mungur, BDS - DEN0002880470

Dentist

Originally from the UK, Dr Ashleigh Jit Mungur made the move to Australia in 2025 and settled in Brisbane at the start of the year. He has enjoyed embracing the Queensland lifestyle and all that Brisbane has to offer, from its great food and outdoor activities to exploring local attractions like Australia Zoo.

Dr Ashleigh graduated from Barts & The London School of Medicine and Dentistry in 2021 with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery. Since then, he has gained experience working in general dental practice, in a hospital-based Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery department, and currently also works in a TMJ clinic.

These roles have allowed Dr Ashleigh to care for patients with a wide range of dental needs while continuing to develop his skills and knowledge. He enjoys helping patients feel comfortable and at ease when they visit the dentist, and takes the time to explain treatments clearly.

Dr Ashleigh has a strong interest in prevention and giving patients the knowledge and techniques they need to look after their oral health at home.

When he is away from the dental surgery, you will often find Dr Ashleigh enjoying life in Brisbane and spending time outdoors.

Kara White

Hi I’m Kara,

I was born and raised in in Scotland and recently took a big leap moved over to Brisbane in 2024 from the UK. I decided to move to Brisbane due to the warm weather and outdoor lifestyle.

When I was at high school I knew I wanted to become an oral health therapist because I had a fear of coming to the dentist as a patient and I really wanted to make sure that dentistry can be made enjoyable. Caring for patients is something I find really easy to do and I love that Absolute Dental Care is all about patient care.

I trained at Glasgow Caledonian University and qualified in 2018 with Bachelor in Oral Health Science. Since then I have had a wealth of experience treating patients for periodontal disease and dental decay amongst children and adults in Scotland and England. I particularly enjoy treating children and engaging in conversation with patients throughout appointments.

When I’m not in clinical scrubs you will catch me in gym gear as I like working out and reading books from all genres. At weekends I am embracing exploring the city and its natural beauty.

Qian

Senior Dental Assistant

Qian originally comes from Shanghai China and has been working with us since April 2009.

‘I love caring people and helping them for their oral health. Doing my job can move around (not sitting there all the time) and every day is different. I also have chance to talk to people and learn not only English but also the culture.’

Outside of the clinic, Qian loves to cook all types of cuisine, looking after her pot plants, taking amazing pictures of different countries traveled and reading.

Jennie

Born and raised in Scotland, I moved to Brisbane in 2000 in search of a better lifestyle. I originally trained as a Dental Assistant back in Scotland, and over the years I transitioned into the administrative side of the profession.

I love the warm, friendly nature of our patients at Absolute Dental Care, and Paul and the team make it a truly kind and supportive place to work.

When I’m not typing away at my keyboard, you’ll usually find me walking with a lovely group of girlfriends, or catching up over dinner and drinks. I’m also an avid Kindle reader who enjoys all genres, and a devoted binge-watcher of Australian and British drama TV shows.

We warmly welcome new patients of all ages and look forward to your call. Our clinic is located on Morrow Street in the Westside Hospital. We work with most health funds and have HICAPS available for your convenience.
